Dr. Sandra T. Matarneh

Sandra is an expert in the mainstream areas of digital construction. Her research interests gravitate on construction management, maintenance management, construction technologies, Building Information Modelling (BIM), Industry 4.0, Digital Twins, and AI/ deep learning for optimization.
In these fields, she has published several papers in reputed peer-reviewed international journals and conferences.

Sandra has in excess of 20 years industry experience working on mega projects within the construction industry in the Middle East.

Sandra is currently working as an Associate Professor in
construction management at Al Ahliyya Amman University, Jordan and an online lecturer in MSc Project Management for Construction at the University of Portsmouth- UK.

Wassim Al Balkhy is a Researcher at Centrale Lille Institut. He has a doctorate in Civil Engineering from Centrale Lille Institut- France.

Wassim has a master’s degree in Engineering Project Management and a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. He has 14 years of experience in engineering, construction, and project management.

He occupied several positions in private companies and international and national governmental and non-governmental organizations in construction, research and development, and humanitarian work. Wassim has good analytical, leadership, and communication skills

 Laure is an expert in construction 4.0. Her research is on Digital Construction, Industrialized Construction, AR/VR technologies, 3D scanning, Digital Twins, and Design optimization.

She has worked on many collaborative R&D projects with academics and industrials and published several papers in reputed peer-reviewed international journals and conferences.

Laure has 15 years of experience working in R&D for a major French general contractor, leading R&D projects, R&D teams and an Industrial Chair of Research.

Laure is currently working as the head of Bouygues Construction’s R&D division entitled ‘DesignLab’ which focuses on the development of new digital design solutions for construction, BIM, and application of virtual and augmented reality solutions to construction trades.
